The EMIT Research Laboratory works on making smart and ubiquitous

Intern R&D Developer (06/2007 - 12/2007)

Our team is in charge of researching the effectiveness and suitability
of DSM. My first project was to implement a GUI framework in C that
was capable of running on a very limited resource
micro-controller. Then, using said framework, investigate generating
programs from the same model used for another more advanced target.

My second project was to make a system that could simulate a Plug and
Play device network to facilitate testing of dynamic models. The UI
was implemented with SVG and used fancy AJAX techniques.

Kiddix Computing Inc.

A fast-growing software company based in Pittsburgh, PA. Kiddix
Computing specializes in children's software and is heavily focused on
Linux and open source development for providing a fun, safe, and
easy-to-use computing environment for children.

Our team developed various child-friendly desktop applications for the
Kiddix Operating System. I was in charge of the e-mail and chat

I created Visual Basic Add-Ins for Microsoft Business' Retail
Management System. My responsibilities included creating an easier to
use user interface and creating a set of programs to manage a credit
card system my uncle was developing to stop fraudulent use of the
customer's credit accounts.
